With beautiful views in every direction; this lovely location is within walking distance of the bustling village of Ambleside. It is also within a short drive both of Wordsworth's Dove Cottage in Grasmere and the popular tourist villages of Bowness and Windermere.

Within this 'picture postcard' rambling property are our beautiful, and fully refurbished in 2022 holiday cottage apartments Mallards Cottage and Garden Cottage. These and Riverbank cottage are each rated by Visit England as four star; having pretty comfortable interiors and each with their own front door leading into the garden and grounds. These cottages are located just next door to Stepping Stones Riverside Terrace and also provide a perfect extension opportunity for larger groups.

GARDEN COTTAGE:

This wonderfully rustic, and fully refurbished 1 bed cottage apartment, is everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Lake District. It is found up nine stone steps and through a section of gardens to your private entrance door. Enter into the cosy lounge / dining room with an open fire for cooler evenings. The bedroom is beautifully furnished with soft textures and a comfy king size bed to ensure a relaxing and peaceful stay. The bathroom is en-suite, with a bath and shower, ideal for long soaks after a hard day on the fells. The kitchen has been upgraded and is well equipped with ample storage and new appliances including an integrated oven, hob, dishwasher and a small fridge/freezer. Outside the gardens are beautiful with stunning views of the fells over the River Rothay and the famous stepping stones and complete with garden furniture to enjoy al-fresco living. Dogs accepted by special arrangement to cover deep cleaning at the end of your stay. MALLARDS COTTAGE:

This well-appointed and fully refurbished 2 bed cottage apartment is named after the delightful mallard ducks that have made Stepping Stones their home and often come up from the river to greet us. Mallards is found up stone steps and through a section of gardens to your front door. Enter into a characterful open plan living area with kitchen / dining room. A favourite with many long standing guests; Mallards sitting room boasts an exposed Lakeland stone wall, original wooden window shutters and an open fire for cooler evenings. The kitchen has been upgraded with a new electric oven with halogen hob, new microwave, dishwasher and fridge and freezer. Mallards Cottage sleeps two to four guests with children from 6 years old. The two cosy bedrooms provide stunning views over the stepping stones towards Wansfell and the grazing sheep in the fields opposite. The bathroom is ideal for long soaks after a hard day on the fells. Outside the gardens are beautiful with garden furniture to enjoy al-fresco living whilst enjoying the stunning views of the river and the fells beyond. RIVERBANK COTTAGE:

The stunning views from this beautiful 4 Star Gold cottage apartment will immediately help you relax into your Lakeland holiday. This romantic one bedroom accommodation overlooks the famous stepping stones across the River Rothay. Comfort and luxury are paramount here, with a lovely contemporary kitchen set against a Lakeland stone wall, incorporating a dishwasher washer/dryer and fridge/ freezer.
