The picturesque Church set in the lovely village of Grasmere is named after St Oswald, a 7th Century Christian King of Northumberland, who is  said to have preached on this site. It is the parish church of Grasmere, Rydal and Langdale,  and each township has its own separate gate into the churchyard. Visit the pretty graveyard to see where William Wordworth and members of his family are buried including former residents of Stepping Stones.

More further afield but a favourite with families, the Lake District visitor attraction located just 15 minutes from Tebay Services. An international award winning day out, Rheged is Europe's largest grass covered building, designed to resemble a Lakeland hill. It offers artisan shops, a cinema, kids play area, craft sessions and events.
